Blonde Tongues formed some time in the summer of 2013. Bonding over a shared love of Galaxie 500 tempos, Cocteau Twins spaciousness and My Bloody Valentine’s volume, Blonde Tongues began writing and playing songs that paid homage to these ideas and sounds. With the release of their self-titled debut, Blonde Tongues began building a small but solid fanbase in Brisbane and abroad. Their second album Safe Like Silk In Polyester Sheets marked an evolution in sound that suggested more to come from the band. After taking a hiatus in 2016, Against The Grain Festival will mark the first show Blonde Tongues have played in 3 years.
