PREMIERE:

TERRA PINES

Today we're happy to bring you the debut LP from Brisbane based sludge-pop trio Terra Pines (FKA Tall Pines).  After their formation in late 2015, Kelly Hanlon (guitar/vocals; also of DEAFCULT), Owen Dengate (guitar/vocals; Ghost Notes) and Cameron Smith (drums/vocals; Ghost Notes / Spirit Bunny, Tape/Off) began writing and recording the songs from this album as separate entities throughout several sessions at Incremental Studios in 2016/2017. Fast forward to 2018 and here we are with a self-titled, 11 track LP packed with gritty guitars, heavy reverberating drums and lilting vocals that take the listener on a journey of endless pondering and self-discovery.

Garnering support and praise from back home with our very own 4ZZZ as well as radio plays in California and the UK, Terra Pines are sure to keep people talking and heads turning. The self described "Mood Merchants" had this to say about their release:

Our debut record is a sonic mood board of sorts. It's a chronicle of emotion and we are hoping it will hit everyone in the feels or at least provide nice background music at a house party for people to do shoeys to. We had lots of fun recording at Incremental Studios and experimenting with different sounds to find the gnarliest of fuzz tones and we can't wait to make like Willie Nelson and get on the road again.

Staying true to their word, Terra Pines will be heading out on a five date national tour, playing alongside their mates in the underground noise, punk, and shoegaze scenes like Blush Response, Psychic 5, Concrete Lawn, Pleasure Symbols and many more. Terra Pines launch their self titled LP June 29th at The Bearded Lady where you're sure to be taken on a ride rich in melodically-driven tales of anxiety, excitement and new romance. But for now please enjoy the debut self titled LP from the band!
