We are so excited to be premiering the hauntingly beautiful sounds of Brisbane bedroom artist Cloud Tangle's debut EP 'POCKET'. The EP is being released on Thursday the 16th of March at a launch at The End Bar in West End. POCKET is a deeply conceptual record made up of 4 diverse tracks, each moulded together to convey the essence of dark emotions. The rawness of each individual recording is like a lo-fi dream, but the songs are so incredibly beautiful resulting in a high chance of tears. The EP was written over the period of a year and a lot of the sounds in the songs remain untouched, some even from initial phone recordings. I have listened to the EP a couple of times and am still hearing new elements hidden within the layers of noise. This alluring bed of tracks will be released online and in physical form through the medium of limited edition cassettes (courtesy of Valley Heat Records). Pre-sales for the cassettes have begun and will go on full sale this Thursday. Cloud Tangle has put together one of the most exciting EP's that I have heard come out of Brisbane in a long time.
