Hello there. We have recently announced the inaugral Against the Grain Festival which will be happening from August 19th - 21st. This is GRAIN's inaugural music and art festival that features some of the best bands in Brisbane and Australia for that matter. Running out of Bakery Lane in Fortitude Valley, Against the Grain will offer 20 bands/acts playing over 3 nights, paired with cheap booze (courtesy of Sailor Jerry's and Young Henry's) and an affordable price. How about that?

To make it all a little bit more special, we have also collaborated with Brisbane’s ARI CORFLUTE, who have staged a visual art program that includes an installation and a video program, which will be projected in the lane. This Must be the Place will be holding an exhibition over the course of the week to coincide with the festival.

Friday night is free entry and will feature: Simi Lacroix, Alex L'Estrange, Jack Thomas and Moodie Gloom

Saturday night’s lineup is: Major Leagues, Twin Haus, The Jensens, Big Bad Echo, Vulture Circus, PYNES, In Real Life and Moon Biscuit

Sunday night includes: Good Morning (Melb), Big Dead, Emerson Snowe, Jess Locke (Melb), Pool Shop, McKisko, Self Care and Sleep Club.
